Meet Our Team
B.V. Messervy
When B.V. joined mom Dede in 2004, she brought a corporate approach that grew their partnership into the team she now leads. B.V. (stands for Buena Vista) is highly skilled at project management: preparing homes for market and creating budgeted scopes of work for buyers looking to renovate. She has a passion for investing and manages a rental portfolio of 19 properties. She loves convincing first time buyers to keep their starter homes as rentals. She grew up in Mt. Pleasant and returned home after graduating from the University of South Carolina where she majored in Communications and studied abroad in Alicante, Spain. She married high school classmate Daniel, and they live downtown with their daughter, Wren.
Sarah Gipe Yandle
Sarah is also a true Charleston native and second generation Realtor. After growing up in Mt. Pleasant and graduating from the College of Charleston, she moved to Atlanta where she began her real estate career at Prudential Georgia Realty in 2006. She returned to Charleston to partner with her father, Timm Gipe, and her real estate success followed. When she joined The Dede & B.V. Team in 2021, she brought deep-rooted connections and a network of valuable alliances. Sarah is masterful at connecting with clients on a level that lasts well beyond closing. She lives in Park Circle, N. Charleston with her husband Jeff, their son, Wesley, and their daughter, Walker. Wesley and Walker love playing with their orange cat ZigZag.
Jennifer Davidson
Jennifer is a second-generation Realtor who combines more than 25 years of corporate experience with a passion for homes, design, and community. A longtime Mount Pleasant resident with deep Carolina roots, she brings strong community ties and local market knowledge to every client relationship. Known for her integrity, professionalism, and client-first approach, Jennifer takes the time to understand each client’s goals and partners with them to make confident, informed decisions. She is also recognized for her ability to negotiate with both skill and creativity. Beyond the closing table, Jennifer remains a trusted advisor neighbor and friend, offering continued support long after the move. Outside of work, Jennifer is an active member of Seacoast Church and enjoys Charleston’s coastal lifestyle with her family. She has been married to her husband, Patrick, for over 27 years and is the proud mother of two adult children, Madison and Jack. She can often be found exploring the beaches of Sullivan’s Island and Isle of Palms or supporting local businesses in the Old Village of Mount Pleasant and historic Downtown Charleston.
Dede Warren
Dede is the team founder and mentor. She is a master of client engagement and forging friendships that last well beyond the closing. While no longer actively selling, Dede remains highly respected by her peers and an integral component of the team dynamic. She is an expert mediator and served on the Charleston Realtors' Professional Standards committee. Originally from Savannah, she has called Charleston home since 1991. She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill and always felt her prior work in hospitality complimented her 30-year real estate career. Dede lives in Meggett, where she enjoys country living and swimming in her pool with her grandchildren.
Ashley Bengtsson
Ashley joined our team in 2019 after purchasing her primary residence and subsequent rental properties with us. She is our team’s Sales Coordinator, a role for which she is both overqualified and supremely appreciated! Her background in business support spans various industries from London to California, but she says with our team she "has found her true home." Her love of organization, checklists and calendaring keeps us in line and on time. Ashley supports us behind the scenes so we can stay focused on providing clients the superior experience they deserve. Having bought & sold a home in San Francisco, she's accustomed to the frenzied pace of our rising real estate market. Originally from Lexington KY, she moved to Mt. Pleasant in 2015 with her husband, Peter, two children, Tucker and Charlotte, and their dog, James.
Brooke Goldman
Originally from Greenwood, SC, Brooke Goldman has always been a self-starter. She entered Lander University at 16 years old, putting herself through school to earn a BA in Mass Communications and Theater. This early drive took her to Atlanta, where she pursued a career in acting. In 2007, Brooke relocated to Charleston and discovered her calling in real estate. After getting her start at a boutique agency downtown, she joined Carolina One Real Estate in 2012. Her journey through various roles within the company has given her a 360-degree view of the industry. For Brooke, real estate is more than just transactions; it’s about inclusivity and a deep-seated drive to serve others. This passion for the community is evident in her volunteerism with Reading Partners, Lowcountry Orphan Relief, Fields to Families, and Bridge North Charleston. Whether navigating a complex closing or giving back to her neighbors, Brooke brings a unique blend of expert communication, creative problem-solving, and a heart for service to everything she does.
