Papi's Taqueria

I had been hearing a lot of buzz about this place so was glad to get a bite recently after a movie. The building is bright and sleek (I can’t even remember what was there before). The downstairs seating is a little tight and the atmosphere is lively. There is a rooftop bar upstairs but that was closed at the time of our visit.

The cocktails disappointed a little. They were tasty but several complained of no alcohol in them. The food seemed very authentic but also creative. I got the shrimp taco and it was delicious. The street corn had a nice flavor but it was not a plump ear of corn, small kernels and rather dry.

Great Spanish music plays throughout and the wait staff was friendly and attentive.  In spite of the couple of missteps I look forward to going back.
